Directions: From the Tannery Falls parking lot (42.6218039, -73.0058141), cross the street to find the Ross Brook Trail. Follow it 1.5 miles to Balance Rock Road.

Standing at the south of the rock, looking east, there are at least two other large stones in a line. This is the larger of the two:

The three seem to align with the winter solstice sunrise (not carefully measured).
