RNC: day 3

Day three felt eerily quiet on the streets.  Either the protesters took a day off, or many were in jail (300 arrests so far).

CODEPINK staged civil disobedience in front of one entrance to the convention center.  They sang songs, decorated the fence with ribbons, and danced in circles.

When the police corralled the dancers onto the sidewalk, 4 of the women crawled under the fence and were immediately arrested.

This woman actually pulled away from the officer because she forgot her hat on the other side.  You can never be too fashionable in the clink!

The remaining CODEPINK members, undeterred, marched to Rice Park, where they chanted in front of MSNBC's studio.
