new "geek armor"

It was time for a new tattoo today! We went to Chameleon Tattoo in Harvard Square while the idea was still in my mind, and I was feeling impulsive enough to go through with it.

It's been 3 years since my last tattoo, which went very smoothly. This time, though, I didn't have enough food in me or something. I started to feel queasy early on, which gave way to a bit of an endorphin rush. I'd felt that before, but this time it was happening a little too soon.

My eyes became more blurry, and I started to space out. According to my accomplice, I passed out "with eyes rolling back" in my head. I remember thinking of lying back in the chair and taking a nap, then dreaming about something. Then I heard Sky, the tattoo artist, tapping me and saying "Dave, wake up. Wake up, buddy."

To me it felt like sleeping, but I guess I passed out from low blood sugar. I chewed on some gigantic glucose tablets and drank some juice. After a few minutes I was back to my usual, high energy self (yeah right). Those badboys really work!

The rest of the process went well, but I opted not to get any shading done. Maybe later...

I am such a light-weight sometimes.

Thanks for bringing me back to life!
